Early produce season leads to tighter southern markets

Apr 17 – 23 – National load-to-truck ratios climbed for the second week in a row for all three major trailer types, adding upward pressure on spot rates that have been in decline since January for vans and reefers. Southeast markets continue to see tightening capacity as early produce season increases demand.
